Land Conservation and Stewardship

“In wildness is the preservation of the world”--Henry David Thoreau

In addition to our ongoing educational initiatives for both youth and
adults, we are working on a number of exciting projects here at
Willowell that are aimed at preserving Vermont's historic landscape
for future generations. Our land conservation and stewardship efforts
seek to preserve wildlife habitat and fragile ecosystems while
encouraging positive human use that deepens connections with place.
