Art, Pageantry and Play
OVERVIEW
Do you love making things? Do you love listening to stories and telling them too? Do you love romping around in fields, forests, and the fantastic natural world? Then this is your camp.
Inspired by a collage of folk tales and old magical stories from around the world we'll create our own pageant. You will have a chance to use our collective talents to create a play, or skits, make costumes, masks, props, or musical instruments. Whatever your imagination can muster.
This week will involve a lot of child-led projects. The camp will be fairly fluid and unstructured. Art Pageantry and Play is not a formal drama camp, but more about play, stories, and letting children take the lead on what they want to create and how they want to create it together.
On the last day we will host a celebration to showcase what we have created. Come, celebrate, make new friends, play!
