Wild Art Creatures Camp
OVERVIEW
Gather at the Willowell Land for a week full of creative pursuits, whimsical adventures and imagination making! This art-based camp will encourage youth to use their creativity to bring to life a creature made of materials they find in nature. We will animate our creatures by giving them names, building them a home and bringing them on adventures around the wilds of the Willowell land.
We will start the morning getting inspired by reading and looking at books by relevant artists to spark our imaginations followed by art-based activities which will include supported “creature” making, rock structures, engineering projects, and weaving! We will work with the ephemeral nature of plant based art projects that are both collaborative and independent.
This camp will be held entirely outdoors and will incorporate choice activities where children can collaborate—deciding which adventures they, their creatures and peers will embark on.
